Haven't seen this one in years. This is the 3rd movie directed by Whit Stillman, made 4 years after he directed Barcelona (Barcelona lead Taylor Nichols had a small role in TLDoD playing a the same character). This film featured an ensemble cast including Chris Eigeman, who was in both of Stillman's previous films Barcelona and Metropolitan. From 1994-1998, Eigeman had featured roles in (3) Noah Baumbach films (Kicking and Screaming, Highball, Mr. Jealousy) and the two Stillman films Barcelona and TTDoDisco.

The bad-movie-cringe moment was when Scully needs to do a stem cell related surgery, and simply does a Google search the day before to learn what to do. I would think there would be better medical journals to consult.

A good use of returning characters for one of the series final episodes. In addition to Noah Wyle, guests stars included former cast members George Clooney, Julianna Margulies, and Eriq LaSalle (aka Daryll from Coming to America), none of which actually made a "return" to the Chicago County hospital in the episode. Susan Sarandon and Ernest Borgnine were guests as well.

Future Matt wants to go back in time and beatup Past Matt. I saw "Voltron" come up in the Hulu "Recently Added" videos and figured I'd take a look. I remember seeing virtually all the episodes when I was a Little Man Tate and had the toys as well. i didn't remember the show being so slow. It took 4 episodes just to see the stupid lions form the stupid Voltron and kill the bad Big Nipple Robot. This was also the same episode where Sven the cartoon character was written out, perhaps to fight Big Nipple Robots in another series.

Notes from me: this is a seemingly well produced movie, but it's done by Alex Jones, the same hack that did the awful "Loose Change".

Sunday will be the end of Championship week in which virtually every conference championship game of significance was broadcasted online. Only some games Sunday will be limited to CBS. I've had virtually all the games on in the background (watching Cal St Northridge vs Pacific right now) and recall the ancient days when I was limited to only ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU as free options (DirecTV had others depending on channel and market).
A few months ago I was going to do a comparison of the best college sports streaming options: ESPN360 and CBS sports XXL (yes, they think the are Extra EXTRA Large) but i've held off until the offseason. It almost seems like a waste of time when in the end, the evil ESPN is providing such a superior free option.

NPR: Secrets Behind the Gardner Heist

I'm listening to Radio Boston on NPR and the discussion is the Gardner Heist, considered the largest art theft in history. Here's some background on it but the cliffnotes version of this theft was that 13 pieces of art, including paintings by Rembrandt and Manet, were stolen on March 18, 1990 in Boston. With the St. Patricks holiday mayhem, there couldn't have been a better opportunity. For those unaware of this theft, the art was valued at $550 million.

* Read Book: Ulrich Boser has a book coming out about it called The Gardner Heist: The True Story of the World's Largest Unsolved Art Theft
. * Read Upcoming News: And this Sunday, the Boston Herald will be launching a special report to help find this art. This includes a $5 million reward.

I got an invitation to alpha test Boxee for Windows. My quick take thus far is that it is awful. Hopefully after more time that will change, but thus far it's like taking Media Center, having garbage plugins, and calling it software. A big "b" double "o".
