For the first 17 years of my life, I always had a vegetable garden where I lived. Few things made me happier than just being able to walk outside and cut off a fresh cucumber or other vegetable to eat. When in college and upon graduating, I no longer had the space for a garden...the lone exception was 2 years in Boston where I had a container garden on my terrace. For the next (7) years living in Los Angeles, (2) in Buenos Aires and (1) in Chile, I never got around to growing again.
Now living in Zagreb, I'm fortunate enough to have (2) decent size terraces with ample room for a container garden. So after 10 years, I have a vegetable garden.
(5) zucchini plants
(5) cucumber plants
(2) beefsteak tomato plants
(10) Roma tomato plants
(3) Detroit beet plants
(2) basil plants
(2) parsley plants
(1) Rosemary plant
(1) Bell pepper plant
And the first harvest...
