UPDATE on the #woodcock that was hurt on April 3 and I had to bring to the Toronto Wildlife Centre. The Toronto Wildlife Centre called me on Friday. They said that the bird had healed from the skeletal damage and that the treatment for the ulcer in the eye via antibiotics had worked, but there was a little scaring. They ran all the eye tests and said it would be fine regardless. They took the bird up north based on the migratory patterns for this time for a test flight to see if the wings had healed. They said it “took off like a dart”. So it’s back living its best life! PS - they said that they thought it was a female.
